This is one I haven’t seen before. This particular model was produced for a limited run of 50 in 2007 to commemorate the Hong Kong Jockey Club Queen Elizabeth II Cup horse race, making these exceptionally rare. The stunning black diamond dial pairs well with the rose gold case, and subtle small diamond markers. These are exceptionally rare, and this one is the cheapest in the world by a long shot, with comparable examples ranging around $90K+ at the time of listing.
Case and bezel: The 18K rose gold case is in great overall condition, retaining sharp lines and good definition throughout. Light hairline scratches can be seen throughout, however it presents to be in strong condition overall. The octagonal bezel presents beautifully with some light hairlines as photographed. The signed rubberized/rose gold crown is in good condition.
Movement, dial, and crystal: The AP Cal. 2624 automatic movement featuring a 40-hour power reserve is running well and keeping excellent time. The black Grande Tapisserie dial is in superb condition, set with twelve diamond indices that catch the light beautifully against the deep black background. The day and month apertures sit symmetrically across the upper dial, the peripheral date ring sweeps around the outer edge of the dial, and the small seconds sub-dial sits symmetrically at 6 o'clock. The rose gold AP monogram at 12 o'clock matches the rose gold hands, which are are in immaculate condition. The sapphire crystal presents the dial cleanly with a few light hairline scratches at the top. A replacement can be sourced upon request.
Strap: Fitted on the original AP black crocodile leather strap in great condition, with the signed 18K rose gold AP deployant buckle which presents in good condition with signs of a recent polish.
