The ref. 5035 holds an important place in horological history, given it was the world's first self-winding Annual Calendar wristwatch, introduced by Patek Philippe in 1996 and awarded Watch of the Year upon its debut. The rose gold case contrasts the cream dial with rose gold Roman numerals beautifully, offering a classic balanced feel.
Case and bezel: The 18K rose gold case is in great overall condition, presenting beautifully with light hairlines consistent with careful wear. The warm rose gold tone is rich and even throughout, and the smooth polished bezel retains excellent definition. The sapphire exhibition caseback offers a gorgeous view of the movement, and is in great condition.
Movement, dial, and crystal: The Patek Philippe automatic movement featuring a 21K gold rotor is running well and keeping excellent time. The cream dial is in great condition, presenting cleanly with applied rose gold Roman numerals and luminous-filled hands. The three sub-dials display day at 9 o'clock, month at 3 o'clock, and a 24-hour indicator at 6 o'clock, with the date window sitting neatly at 6, offering a beautifully balanced layout. The sapphire crystal presents the dial clearly with no notable wear.
Strap: Fitted on a leather strap in good wearable condition, complete with the original signed 18K rose gold Patek Philippe buckle.
