The 5130 World Time is tribute back to 1930s Patek and the legendary Louis Cottier, whose ingenious mechanism allowed the simultaneous display of all 24 time zones at a glance. These are the modern realisation of that heritage. Case and bezel: The 18K Yellow Gold case is in great overall condition, retaining excellent definition throughout with minimal wear consistent with careful use. The warm gold tone is rich and even, and the polished domed bezel sits perfectly around the stunning dial. The pusher at 10 o’clock advances the World Time display by one hour with a single press,  and is in excellent working order.
Movement, dial, and crystal: The Patek Philippe Cal. 240 HU automatic movement, featuring a 22K gold micro-rotor seen through the exhibition caseback, is running beautifully and keeping excellent time. The silver sunray guilloche centre dial is in superb condition, presenting cleanly with applied gold indices and the characteristic Observatoire-style hands offer a very legible, art deco look. The outer ring displays 24 world cities against the alternating dark and light 24-hour inner ring, making the local time in any timezone immediately readable. The sapphire exhibition caseback shows the movement clearly. The sapphire crystal presents the dial cleanly with no scratches or marks.
Strap: Fitted on a black crocodile leather strap in great condition, complete with the original signed 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe deployant buckle.
