One for the collectors! This is the original GMT-Master II, with the “Fat Lady” thicker case and wider crown guards. Powered by Rolexes first-ever independently adjustable GMT hand (Cal. 3085), this is the model that kicked off the modern GMT era.
Case and bezel: The stainless steel case is in excellent condition with sharp lugs and no major marks, very minimal hairline scratching can be seen. The original aluminum Coke insert is in great condition with rich colour and minimal fade.
Movement, dial, and crystal: The Cal. 3085 movement is running beautifully, with the GMT hand functioning as intended. It was serviced by Rolex in 2019, with the card to prove. The black dial is original and in fantastic condition, with tritium lume plots and hands that have developed a lovely creamy patina. The sapphire crystal is clean and clear.
Bracelet: This one is on the original Jubilee bracelet, which is super rare to find on this reference. It’s in excellent condition with minimal stretch, and sized to fit around a 7.8” wrist.
Inclusions: Comes with original box and a 2019 Rolex service card. A perfect collector’s example of a transitional reference that’s only getting harder to find in this condition.
